Nibdu is designed to respect your privacy completely. The short version: Nibdu runs entirely on your Mac and does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data.
To measure disk usage, Nibdu reads file and folder metadata (names, sizes, and modification dates) for the folders you explicitly choose to scan. This information is used only to display results to you, on your device, while the app is running. It is never stored, transmitted, or sold.
None. Nibdu has no user accounts, no analytics or telemetry, and no advertising. The app does not connect to any server to perform its work, and nothing you scan ever leaves your computer.
When you choose to remove an item, Nibdu moves it to the macOS Trash so it can be restored until you empty the Trash. Nibdu never permanently deletes files on your behalf without that step.
Nibdu itself bundles no third-party tracking or advertising code. If you purchase Nibdu through a payment provider or app store, that provider handles your transaction under its own privacy policy; Nibdu does not receive your payment details.
Nibdu is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone.
